The New Western University Asia-Europe Campus was established to strengthen NWU's partnerships with leading universities and companies in the Asia-Europe region, and to further expand students' international horizons through strong alliances between academic institutions. In addition, NWU Asia-Europe Campus focuses on the introduction of international teaching resources and advanced education models, and has established good cooperation with world-renowned universities in the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Japan, creating a good international teaching environment and learning atmosphere for students. New Western University Asia Campus 2023 is offering a limited number of students on a merit basis for direct doctoral study (hereinafter referred to as "direct doctoral study"), master's degree and "application-examination". 

Among them, fresh undergraduates applying for direct doctoral degree, the application time, application method and process and other related requirements are the same as those for recommended exempted master's degree students; for current master's degree students of our university applying for master's degree, the application method refers to the regulations of the Graduate School and the selection instructions of the faculty; "application-assessment system" applicants must follow our doctoral admissions prospectus Applicants must apply and submit the application materials in accordance with the admission prospectus of our university and the relevant requirements of our university, and will be admitted on the basis of merit after the examination and assessment of the applicant's qualifications by our admission expert panel and the examination of those who meet the requirements. The specific methods of the "application-assessment system" are as follows:

I. Basic conditions

1. Applicants for doctoral studies must meet one of the following conditions:

① Have obtained a master's or doctoral degree;

② fresh master's degree graduates (must obtain a master's degree before enrolling in the year of admission; for those who have obtained a degree from a foreign institution, they must also obtain the "Certificate of Foreign Academic Degrees" issued by the Service Center for Overseas Studies of the Ministry of Education before enrolling in the year of admission);

③People who have obtained a bachelor's degree for 6 years (from the date of obtaining a bachelor's degree to the date of admission to doctoral program) can apply for the examination in accordance with the status of equivalence (those who apply in the status of equivalence must have published more than 2 academic papers (as the first or second author) in the national core journals of the discipline or specialty under application or in a similar research field, or have received awards for scientific research achievements related to the discipline under application at the provincial or ministerial level or above ( (ranked in the top 5)).

2、Physical and mental health conditions meet the requirements of the physical examination for admission to graduate school at New Western University Asia Campus.

Applicants for our Ph.D. in Business administration must meet the above requirements in addition to the following:

1、Possess a certain foundation in Business administration， students with a strong interest in the study of Business administration are also welcome to apply.

2、Have a certain knowledge of relevant disciplines.

3. Good English skills: The PhD program is taught in full English. University English Level 6, TOEFL or IELTS scores are required. Should have the ability to use English for research, thesis writing and academic communication.

4、Have a strong interest in academic research and strong research ability.

5、Excellent quality, outstanding ability, quick thinking, able to identify with the philosophy and training model of the New Western University Asia Campus.

II. Application Process

(I) Application for registration

1、Online application. The application Applicants should visit our websiteto apply and upload relevant materials within the application time specified by the faculty, and the specific methods of online application are detailed in the Page; the application fee is $260 per applicant. Once the fee is paid, the application fee is non-refundable. Applicants should check their online registration information carefully. Once the faculty has received the applicant's application materials, no changes will be made to the applicant's application information. Applicants will be responsible for all consequences caused by errors in their application.

2. Submission of application materials. Send (deliver) the following ten application materials to the Office of Master's Program. If each document exceeds two pages, please bind it by yourself. Please arrange each document in the order of ①-⑩ in your own envelope, and choose EMS or SF for mailing.

① New Western University Asia Campus 2023 Doctoral Candidate Application Registration Form: After successful online application and payment, you can download the application registration form from the application website, print it and confirm it by signing your name (or inserting an electronic signature) on the last page of the format;

②Copy of the highest education and degree certificate (fresh master's graduates must submit a letter from the graduate school or the graduate department of their training unit when applying, and must submit a copy of their education and degree certificates before enrolling, and can only apply for registration after passing the audit; for those who only have a degree certificate but no graduation certificate, they must submit a copy of their master's or doctoral degree certificate when applying; for those who have obtained their education and degree certificates in foreign institutions, they must submit a copy of the certificate issued by the Service Center for Overseas Studies of the Ministry of Education when applying). (For those who have obtained their academic degrees from overseas institutions, they must submit a copy of the Certificate of Foreign Academic Degrees issued by the Service Center for Overseas Studies of the Ministry of Education);

③Copy of ID card, copy of passport home page (including personal photo page);

④ master's degree thesis (recent master's graduates may provide abstracts and thesis catalogs, etc.), published academic papers and other original research results;

⑤ Original official transcripts from the institution from which you graduated (are enrolled);

(6) Personal statement in English and Chinese (including knowledge of the discipline applied for and proposed research plan, about 3,000 words, 

(7) Two letters of recommendation from experts, which must be sealed separately and signed by the recommended experts at the seam of the seal (the experts must be associate professors (or above) or persons with equivalent professional and technical titles in the subject area applied for);

⑧ Copy of proof of English proficiency, bring the original for confirmation during the retest (the applicant's English proficiency can meet any one of the following conditions, with specific requirements for each score as follows):

⑨ statements and proof of study and work experience, experience, competence, special achievements, published academic papers, patents obtained and other original research results;

⑩Curriculum vitae (in English and Chinese)

3. Applicants the application system to apply online and submit relevant materials

4. Applicants send (deliver) their application materials to the Office of Master's Program of the University. Applicants must ensure that their personal information is true and accurate, and paper materials will not be returned once submitted. Applicants are advised to complete the online application and paper application simultaneously in order to be eligible for the review.

5. Applicants should carefully check whether they meet the application requirements, once found that the applicant does not meet the application requirements will not be admitted, has been admitted to cancel the admission qualifications. Applicants will be responsible for the consequences.

(B) College preliminary examination

The college combines the applicants' online application information and paper materials, and examines the applicants' declaration qualifications against the requirements of the above application conditions.

(C) Expert panel deliberations

After passing the preliminary examination, a panel of experts from the College will make a comprehensive evaluation of the applicants and determine the review list on the basis of a certain percentage of the enrollment plan. The selected list will notified to the applicants.

(D) Retest

The review examination is conducted in the form of a comprehensive interview with differential review, which assesses students' basic abilities , and examines students' disciplinary background, professional quality, operational skills, foreign language proficiency, thinking ability, innovation ability, ideological and political quality, moral character, and the applicant's comprehensive ability to analyze, solve problems and carry out innovation. Candidates are also required to make a report to the examination panel, which includes an introduction to their personal research experience and achievements, their understanding and views on the proposed research field, and their ideas and reasons for the research work they intend to conduct.

Those who pass the examination will be admitted according to the ranking of the total score, and the proposed admission list will be publicized for ten working days after approval by the Graduate School. If there is no objection to the public announcement, the letter of acceptance will be issued.

III. Tuition

1、Tuition

Doctoral students are required to pay tuition at the New Western University Asia campus rate.

IV. Monitoring Mechanism

Our school's admissions emphasize an open, fair and impartial process. The seriousness of the admissions process is ensured, while reflecting the principle of merit-based admissions. Issues related to the admissions process need to be handled through normal and open procedures.

We have established a leading group for graduate student admissions headed by the dean in charge of graduate teaching in the university, with teachers in charge of each discipline as members. The leadership group is fully responsible for the enrollment work of the college, including the formulation of the college's internal enrollment procedures, rules and other relevant regulations.

V. Other matters

1. The length of study, graduation and employment, and student accommodation are as stipulated in the 2023 admissions instructions of New Western University Asia Campus.

3、If applicants are found to submit false materials, cheating and other disciplinary actions, they will be dealt with seriously according to the university regulations. This includes cancellation of admission and academic registration, etc.

4. Accepted students should provide the original academic and degree certificates for verification on the day of arrival. Holders of foreign degree certificates must also submit the certification report issued by the Service Center for Overseas Education of the Ministry of Education of China.
