Post-Doctoral Program Introduction
New Western University Asia-Europe Campus is an oversea campus of New Western University inAsia-Europe, New Western University is a private university with a long history in the United States, its predecessor dates back to the last 20th century, the school's original name Western University, is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in the western region of the United States. Since its founding, the university has been committed to providing high-quality education and training opportunities for students from around the world, and has produced a large number of outstanding talents who have made important contributions to the development of science and technology, culture and education, economic construction and the progress of human civilization. In 2018, Western University has an unprecedented historical opportunity to establish a new diversified international board of trustees, and in line with the development of trends and tendencies, the Western University changed its name into New Western University (NWU) in the United States. In the same year, after approval by the California Department of Higher Education, NWU moved its campus to the beautiful city of West Covina, which is not only the 2nd most comfortable summer city in the USA, but also one of the top 50 cities in the USA for board games, with a beautiful new campus and a great atmosphere for learning.
The New Western University Asia-Europe Campus was established to strengthen NWU's partnerships with leading universities and companies in the Asia-Europe region, and to further expand students' international horizons through strong alliances between academic institutions. In addition, NWU Asia-Europe Campus focuses on the introduction of international teaching resources and advanced education models, and has established good cooperation with world-renowned universities in the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Japan, creating a good international teaching environment and learning atmosphere for students. New Western University Asia-Europe Campus not only promotes multiculturalism and multilingualism, but also provides students from different regions with tailor-made study programs and environments, as well as opportunities for exchange, further study and paid internships abroad.
I. Recruiting conditions
1. Applicants should have a doctoral degree and have received it for no more than three years, and be of good character, in good health, and generally under 35 years of age, with appropriate age relaxation for particularly outstanding staff. If the applicant is engaged in postdoctoral research at the second station or above, there is no restriction on the number of years of doctoral degree.
2、Can engage in postdoctoral research work full-time during the station, and the incumbent will not work in the original unit of employment.
3、Professional background related to the research direction of the cooperative supervisor; Strong scientific research ability and innovation ability, good professionalism and team spirit.
4. Except for the post-docs jointly trained by the University and external workstations, applicants who have studied and received their doctoral degrees in the University are not allowed to enter the same first-level disciplinary station that awarded them their doctoral degrees to engage in post-doctoral research work.
5、Basic conditions for applying to the station: Presiding over national projects, or receiving the postdoctoral innovation talent support program.
Second, recruiting treatment
1、Postdoctoral staffs implement the annual salary system, the university specifies the work responsibilities and treatment by agreement, the working fund is 50,000 RMB, the annual salary is 150,000 RMB/year + project incentive, the annual salary includes the part of social insurance and housing provident fund paid by individuals. The post-doctoral staff can be rewarded according to the policy if their scientific research results are in line with the scientific research incentives of the university.
2、During the period of postdoctoral work, the university provides housing for postdoctoral staff who do not have housing (rent-free).
3、Postdocs can participate in the university's title evaluation during their stay in the station.
III. Material requirements for postdoctoral applications
Applicants for postdoctoral research as our university should apply in writing to our postdoctoral station management office, and make online application on the China Postdoctoral website, fill in relevant materials and submit to the postdoctoral management office of New Western University Asia Campus at
(1) "Application Form for Postdoctoral Entry" (4 copies);
(2) Letter of Recommendation from Experts (2 experts, 4 copies) (at least one letter of recommendation from a supervisor or research project leader, professor or expert abroad for doctoral students or foreign doctors);
(3) "Postdoctoral Entry Audit Form" (4 copies);
(4) "Postdoctoral Research Station Establishment Unit Academic Department Assessment Opinion Form" (4 copies);
(5) Copy of ID card (or passport and visa) (4 copies);
(6) A copy of the doctoral degree certificate or a copy of the resolution of the doctoral dissertation defense committee and a certificate from the degree office (postdocs who have not obtained a doctoral degree at the time of entering the station must submit a copy of the doctoral degree certificate and a copy of the doctoral graduation certificate to the postdoctoral work office within six months of entering the station, otherwise they will be treated as not having obtained a doctoral degree);
