Bachelor Program Introduction
I. School Introduction
New Western University Asia-Europe Campus is an oversea campus of New Western University inAsia-Europe, New Western University is a private university with a long history in the United States, its predecessor dates back to the last 20th century, the school's original name Western University, is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in the western region of the United States. IV. Qualifications for application
1. Comprehensive requirements for undergraduate applicants:
Under 25 years of age, in good physical and mental health (no infectious diseases or physical or mental illnesses that would interfere with normal study), and of good conduct. Have a valid passport and have graduated from high school (those who have not graduated at the time of application must provide proof of pre-graduation and must obtain a high school diploma no later than the date of admission).
2. Nationality requirements: conform to the provisions of the Ministry of Education's Education and Foreign Affairs Letter [2020] No. 12 (link).
2.1 Residents of China (Mainland), Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who immigrate to a foreign country as international student applicants must acquire foreign citizenship by April 30, 2019 and have a record of actual residence abroad for at least 2 years from April 30, 2019 to April 30, 2023 (actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, with entry and exit stamps (as allowed).
2.2 If the applicant acquired foreign nationality at the time of birth in a foreign country and both parents are Chinese citizens at the time of birth, or if one of the parents is a Chinese citizen, the applicant's parents (Chinese citizen) must have acquired permanent residence in a foreign country before the applicant's birth, and the applicant must have a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years from April 30, 2019 to April 30, 2023 (actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year) (One year can be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).
3. Language Proficiency Requirements:
3.1 For majors that taught in Chinese, applicants are required to provide their HSK scores, please refer to the Chinese Language Undergraduate Admissions Catalog for specific requirements; students who have been taught Chinese as the language of instruction in the required courses at the secondary education level (junior high school and high school) are exempt from the HSK.
3.2 No Chinese language proficiency is required for English-taught majors. If you are a non-native English speaker, you must provide proof of TOEFL/IELTS or other English language proficiency. TOEFL MyBest transcripts are accepted.
V. Materials to be provided at the time of application
Applicants must visit the New Western University Asia Campus International Student Application System and clearly complete and upload scanned copies of the following original or notarized documents as required:
1. Individual passport.
2. High school graduation certificate. Recent high school graduates will be issued a certificate of expected graduation by their school of study, and must submit the original high school graduation certificate or a notarized document upon admission.
3. Transcripts of all courses taken at the high school level.
4. Language proficiency test results. HSK level certificate for Chinese-speaking majors. Applicants for English-medium programs must provide proof of TOEFL or IELTS scores or other evidence of their English proficiency (native English speakers are not required).
5. Two letters of recommendation from high school teachers. Signed by the recommender with contact number and Email.
6. Personal statement within 800 words, including personal study experience, reasons for application and personal strengths, etc.
7. High school level subject competition award certificate (if any)
8. Those who were originally Chinese citizens and later joined foreign nationality must submit (1) proof of Chinese nationality or household registration cancellation; (2) proof of joining foreign nationality; (3) entry and exit records from April 30, 2019 to April 30, 2023.
9. Applicants who acquired foreign nationality by birth in a foreign country and both or one of their parents is a Chinese citizen are required to provide (1) proof that the applicant acquired foreign nationality by birth; (2) proof of permanent residence of the applicant's parents (Chinese citizen party) in the foreign country before birth; (3) entry and exit records from April 30, 2019 to April 30, 2023.
10. Applicants who have not reached the age of 18 by September 1, 2023, must submit (1) a guardianship guarantee (download), and the guardian must be an adult residing in P.R.C; (2) a notarized power of attorney for guardianship entrusted by the applicant's parents.
Notes:
1. Applicants can apply with standardized test scores such as SAT/IB/GCE A-LEVEL/ACT/STPM/GED/UEC or college entrance test scores from the applicant's home country. If only transcripts from your high school are provided, it is recommended that you also provide the relative rank or percentage of the applicant's high school.
2. All of the above application documents must be in Chinese or English, and notarized translations of other language texts are required.
3. Please do not mail paper copies of your application materials or send them via email. Paper copies of your application materials or applications sent via email will not be reviewed and processed.
4. The school may request additional documents or conduct a video interview with the applicant depending on the situation.
VI. Selection methods, admission and notification
1. The school will determine the list of pre-admitted students in batches based on a combination of factors such as high school grades, language proficiency and (video) interview, etc. Applicants can visit the New Western University Asia Campus International Student Application System (link) to check the application results.
2. Pre-admitted students should login to the application system to pre-pay the tuition fee for the first academic year within the time specified by the university. If online payment is not available, you must remit the tuition fee to our designated bank account (see this page) and upload the scanned copy of the remittance voucher to the application system. Students who fail to prepay tuition fees within the specified time will be disqualified from pre-admission.
3. The university will issue the letter of acceptance and the visa application form for foreign students to come to China after the university confirms the receipt of the prepaid tuition and publishes the academic calendar for the new academic year.
Special reminder:
1. Please be sure to accurately indicate the application number and name of the student applying when remitting the money.
2. The school only reserves places for students who have paid the first year of tuition in advance. If a student abandons enrollment at the school for personal reasons or withdraws from the school after enrollment, resulting in a vacancy in the number of places accepted by the school, the first year of tuition paid in advance will not be refunded.
3. If a student who has been admitted to the school is disqualified by the school because he/she fails to meet the school's conditions for registration at the time of enrollment, the tuition fees paid in advance will not be refunded.
VII. Check-in and registration
1. Accepted students must report and register at the school strictly according to the time specified in the admission notice. Those who fail to provide the appropriate certificates will be disqualified from enrollment.
2. Start of school registration at the end of August or the beginning of September 2023, the specific date is subject to the Admission Notice.
VIII. Medical insurance
Fee: RMB 800 Yuan/year.
According to the regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, international students coming to our university for one semester or more must purchase comprehensive medical insurance in mainland China as a requirement for their registration for the new semester. Students who do not have the required comprehensive medical insurance at the time of registration will not be registered.
You will be notified of the insurance policy before registration. Please follow the instructions on the notice to apply for insurance at that time.

Information and Communication Engineering Major
I. Introduction to the discipline
Information and Communication Engineering is a first-level discipline, with two second-level disciplines: Communication and Information Systems and Signal and Information Processing. The major is a comprehensive major with broad basic knowledge and wide application fields, involving wireless communication, multimedia and image processing, electromagnetic field and microwave, medical X-ray digital imaging, array signal processing and phase space wave propagation and imaging, as well as satellite mobile video and many other high technology fields. The cultivation of knowledge is very broad, not only has a high demand for basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, electronics, computers, information transmission, information acquisition and information processing, but also requires students to have professional knowledge and skills in signal detection and estimation, signal analysis and processing, system analysis and design, etc., so that students have the ability to engage in scientific research in this subject area.
II. Training objectives
